The Yolanda Brown MusicAward
The Yolanda Brown Music Award is open to UEL Undergraduate studentsin their final year,graduatingfrom one of the following programmes
BSc HonsMusic Technology
BA HonsMusic Production and Culture
There are four awards of £500 which sit under this grant.Both single and collaborative projects from fellow UEL music students are also welcomed. Applicants are required to submit the following application formoutlining how the YolanDa Brown Music Award will assist in furthering a specific project which will help theapplicant’sprogression from their current studies into a professional life in the music Industry. Applicants are also required to submit examples of current works relating to your project as supporting evidence (e.g. 2 minutes of a piece of music you wrote or produced specifying your role/relationship to the clip)
Please submit your completed application and supporting current works to the Alumni Office on byMonday 30th June 2014.
- Applications will be assessed by the UEL Music Teaching team together with Yolanda Brown.
- The successful candidate will be notified on or shortly afterMonday 4th August 2014
- Finances will be awarded in the Annual Fund Awards CeremonySeptember 2014. Therefore applicants should be able to attend the Annual Fund Awards Ceremony.
- Successful candidates will be expected to provide support in the from of agreed workshops or feedback sessions, discussing their experience to the respective UEL Music students during the award year.
- The successful applicant will also be expected to meet with the Alumni team to report on the work they have been doing 6 months after they have received the award.
