December 22, 2013

Eight of our campus ministry students, and I will be heading to Camp Restore in New Orleans for their annual service/mission trip on December 28, 2013, and returning on January 4, 2014. We are going at this time because of our current batch of student leaders are from multiple campuses in the Omaha area, and this was the one break from school that they all had in common. As we travel, we would request the prayers of the congregation for safety and many opportunities to serve.

CampRestore tells us that the victims of Katrina, who are the poorest of the poor, are in continuing need of help with finances for building materials. The Board of Elders has requested that the congregation take up an offering on Sunday, December 22, 2013 to help with these costs. We are asking that you prayerfully consider this giving opportunity. Thank you.

(The offering will be received as you exit the sanctuary at the end of the service.)

Blessings,

Don L. Bader, “Living H2O” Lutheran Campus Ministry Coordinator
