Lacrosse is the fastest growing teamsport in the U.S. Lacrosse promotes fitness, skill development and team play. The girls’ league has a division for grades 2nd,3rd and 4th, 5-6, and grades 7-8. The rules are modified to be age appropriate, emphasize skill development and promote safety. The season runs from March 5th to May30thincluding2 practices and 1 game per week. NOTICE: THE FOLLOWING HOLD-HARMLESS AGREEMENT MUST BE READ BY PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AND SIGNED PRIOR TO THE CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SSANDY SPRING LACROSSE ASSOCIATION SPRING LEAGUE.

The undersigned parent or guardian, in consideration of the acceptance of his/her child as a participant in The SANDY SPRING Lax 4 Life Lacrosse Association (hereinafter L4LLA”) Spring League, does hereby:

(1)Agree to assume any and all risks and liabilities incidental to participation in the L4LLA Spring League by the undersigned’s child;

(2)agree to indemnify, defend and hold The L4LLA, its staff, officers, coaches, supervisors, officials and all other persons providing facilities or assisting in the conduct of said Spring League harmless from and against any claim, demand and liability for any injury, death or property damage;

(3)Acknowledge and understand that no medical insurance is maintained by The L4LLA, such insurance being the sole responsibility of each participant, their parent and/or guardian;

(4)agree that prior medical or health problems regarding the child must be disclosed by the undersigned parent or guardian to The L4LLA prior to any child participating in the Spring League; and

(5)Agree to indemnify, defend and hold The L4LLA, its staff, officers, coaches, supervisors, officials and all other persons providing facilities or assisting in the conduct of said Spring League harmless from and against any claim, demand, and liability for any injury, death or property damage related to the transportation of their child to and from said Spring League.

The undersigned understands that, because of prohibitive costs, no accident, health or life insurance covering his/her child in regard to this Spring League will be procured and that the undersigned’s consent to the participation of his/her child in this Spring League is made with such understanding. The undersigned understands and acknowledges that lacrosse is a body-contact sport and the undersigned accepts responsibility for any injury or death resulting from participation in Spring League and transportation thereto and there from. The undersigned acknowledges that the undersigned has read this release and understands all of its terms, and the undersigned hereby executes this release voluntarily and with full knowledge of its significance.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Teams’, players’, parents’ and coaches’ conduct at all times must reflect good sportsmanship and conduct becoming a participant in Sandy Spring Lax 4 Life. This includes conduct, attendance and promptness during practices as well as during games. Players are expected to respect their coaches and teammates, and abide by the rules and regulations of US Lacrosse and the Metro League. Any player, parent or coach whose conduct at any point in the season is deficient in this regard may be benched for part of a game or the entire game (for players), or if a serious offense, suspended or removed from the team and Lax 4 Life. The primary objectives of the L4LLA are for participants to have fun and learn the game of lacrosse.
