JOB TITLE:Coffee ShopShift Leader

GRADE:Point 12: £8.50 per hour, guaranteed 800 hours plus holiday pay

SECTION:Operations (Commercial Services)

RESPONSIBLE TO:Coffee Shop Supervisor

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

STATEMENT OF JOB PURPOSE

  • Support the Coffee Shop Supervisor to deliver a high quality service to students and clients.
  • Work with the Coffee Shop Supervisor to develop and deliver the Coffee Shop function in line with agreed policies and procedures and to agreed standards of service.
  • As a member of Sheffield Hallam Students' Union's staff, to contribute positively to the achievement of Sheffield Hallam Students' Union's overall mission, vision, values and objectives.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with the Coffee Shop Supervisor to deliver a high quality coffee shop service in accordance with Sheffield Hallam Students' Union's core mission, vision and values.
  1. Assist the Coffee Shop Supervisor with the day-to-day coffee shop operation, including the supervision of coffee shop support staff as required.
  1. Assist the Coffee Shop Supervisor in the recruitment and training of coffee shop support staff as required.
  1. Responsible for cash handling, end of day reconciliation and change orders in line with the Students' Union's financial procedures.
  1. Assist in the food and beverage service provision.
  1. Assist with stock management and rotation.
  1. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that the coffee shop outlet runs in accordance with the Students' Union’s service standards.
  1. Be familiar with the coffee shop product range.
  1. Contribute positively to the delivery of Sheffield Hallam Students' Union's strategic and business planning processes to ensure achievement of its mission, vision, values and objectives.
