We have cellared this exceptional wine deliberately until now to allow the complexity of the wine to develop. A mix of Chardonnay 40%, Sauvignon 40%, Riesling 20% just made in exceptional years that won Italies best white wine award in 2002. Sensations of apple, banana, elderflower and peach veined with chamomile sage on the nose. Rondo di Corte is fresh and mouthfilling, with very well balanced acidity, intense minerality and a long-lingering after-aroma.

1301996 Hill of Grace Shiraz, Henschke, Barossa £375.00

Hill of Grace is a unique delineated single historic vineyard. Planted in the 1860s by an ancestor, Nicolaus Stanitzki. This is probably the best Hill of Grace produced to date. Opaque crimson mauve colour. The nose displays aromas of dusty mint, spice and a touch of leather. The palate is filled with superb ripe fruit. Raspberries, blueberries, vanilla, confectionary and spice fill every corner of the mouth and are amplified by fine, dry tannins, followed by a very long lingering, blackberry, liquorice, spice aftertaste. Bought direct from the Henschke cellars you cannot buy this wine cheaper in a shop!
