***ALUMNI IN THE COMMUNITY***

Dear DCC Sisters,

We have taken on an incredible challenge. On November 6, 2009, we will be walking 60 miles over the course of three days.

It’s for an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and we plan on raising $4,600 to help bring us closer to that goal.

Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer.

If you do not wish to donate online, please call 1.800.996.3DAY. Any amount would certainly be appreciated! Meredith and I hope to reach our individual fund-raising goals of $2,300 each by November 6, 2009 so we may participate in this incredible event.

We cherish our DCC sisters and we are very fortunate to have you in our lives! Thank you for taking the time—a precious commodity! We couldn’t do this without you!

***ALUMNI UPDATE***

As our “Alumni Update” progresses, please check your email capacity. The more pictures and info I put in, the larger my email is to you. I get an average of 12 emails kicked back to me due to size limitations. If you prefer me to send your update to a different address, please let me know ASAP.

***TURKEY, FOOTBALL, LEFTOVERS***

What are your favorite Thanksgiving Day traditions? Food, family, football? In the November issue of the update, share with your sisters how you will be spending your day! Email your stories to me today!

***MISSING ALUMNI***

We are still on the hunt for our last few missing alumni. Each month, we’re going to focus on one sister from each decade- so, hopefully with ya’ll’s help, we’ll find 4 sisters a month! This month we’re going to target:

Micheling Austin- 70’s

Laurie Benitez- 80’s

Leticia Avila- 90’s

Rashida Pridgen- 2000’s

Please check your social networks and see if any of our sisters might be there. Thanks for your help!
