Nationalism
Prezi Project
To help you better understand the concept of nationalism we begin with making a prezi. The theme of the prezi will be “Why I am proud of my country?” Items for the poster can be any historical event, leader, or thing that should be known and celebrated by all citizens of your country and citizens of the world.
Prezi project items are open to any time period or topic but the prezi must include:
· The title “Why I am Proud of The United States of America (your country)”
· The definition of nationalism
· Five events, leaders, or things (songs, t.v. shows, movies, magazines etc)
· Picture to go with each of the events, things or leaders
· A summary describing each of events, leaders, or things (songs, t.v. shows, movies, magazines etc). THESE MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS!!!
o Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How
o Explain why this person, event, or thing creates pride in your country.
· Presentations
· A list of sources you used to research for the project
Prezi Projects that I will like:
· Colorful pictures(at least 5), and creative animation
· Labels with interesting fonts
· Clear summaries to explain each of the events, things or leaders in your own words.
Timeline:
Class 9-1
Friday, October 8- Sign up for Prezi, begin project, identify persons and events, begin research
Monday, October 11- Continue Research, write summaries, collect images on your computer Thursday, October 14- Continue summaries, and work on Prezi
Monday, October 25 - Work on Prezi, finalize summaries, practice presentation.
Thursday October 28- Present prezi to class
Class 9-2
Friday, October 8 – Sign up for Prezi, begin project, identify persons and events, begin research
Wednesday, October 13- Continue Research, write summaries, collect images on your computer
Thursday, October 15 - Continue summaries, and work on Prezi
Tuesday, October 27- Work on Prezi, finalize summaries, practice presentation.
Thursday, October 28 - Present prezi to class
