Cloudy April 2017

Dear Writing Friends,

It is hard to believe that April has already arrived. The sun has even peeked out from behind a cloud occasionally and the flowers are blooming.

We have been so busy with SCBWI-Oregon this year so far. We’ve had a PB Intensive in February and Wearing Two Hats in March.

This month we are having a Boot Camp Intensive for Non-Fiction on the 22nd at the Mulino Homestead. Our speakers are going to be Christy Peterson and Ruth Musgrave. If anyone knows anything about research and non-fiction, it is these two ladies. Just because you write fiction doesn’t mean this workshop wouldn’t benefit you. Every good book is based on some fact and knowing where and how to find information is invaluable. So, everyone is welcomed. For more information go to:

Hope to see you at one of the many functions that are happening. Until then…happy writing!

I found this while looking through the Regional Arts and Cultural Committee (RACC) in hopes that you can spread the word. The 2017 grant is open to professionals who have been working in the field of Literature for 10 years, and been a resident of Oregon for 5. I know that there are many in our group who could send in strong applications! See:

That’s all for this month. See you all soon!
