Hiring Agreement

This agreement is made on ______(date) between the Management Committee (2) and the Hirer (3) named below, whereby in consideration for the sums mentioned (5):

A.The Management Committee agrees to permit the Hirer to use Preston Village Hall (aka The Three Parishes Millennium Hall 3PM Hall) for the period described below:

The Management Committee holds a Community Premises Licence for the 3PM Hall and this is displayed in the Hall. It is a condition of hire that the person named at (3) above personally assumes and complies with the various responsibilities as stated on the Licence.

(if yes and alcohol is intended to be sold, the hirer will be responsible for getting an appropriate licence from Stratford District Council

For an additional charge of £10.00, cutlery and crockery may be made available for use at the Hall during the Hire. Numbers of items requested (up to the max listed) will be placed in the Hall prior to the agreed Hire time on the condition that all items are left in a similar clean condition at the end of the Hire. Any breakages or losses will be charged at £1.00 per item. Please indicate what you require.

(The Hirer should make other arrangements for items such as extra cups/saucers, teaspoons, glasses, tea towels etc. which are not available. Please ensure that what we have meets your requirements)

B.

1.The Hirer agrees to be present during the hiring and to perform the provisions and stipulations contained in or referred to in the Committee’s “Standard Conditions of Hire” for the time being enforced as annexed hereto (an understanding of which the Hirer acknowledges) together with the Special Conditions set out in the schedule below.

2.The Hirer agrees that the Standard Conditions of Hire together with the Special Conditions attached shall form part of the terms of the Hiring Agreement.

I declare that the information given in this agreement is correct to the best of my knowledge and acknowledge that any misstatement or misrepresentation made on my behalf may result in the Management Committee terminating the agreement forthwith.

Special Conditions

a. The Hirer will ensure that all heaters, water heaters and sockets are turned off before vacating the premises. The water heaters are shown on the plan displayed in the building.

b. There is to be no smoking within any part of the building (including the entrance lobby, toilets and stores).

c. The Hirer will not affix anything to any part of the building (inside or outside); for example posters, decorations, notices etc.

d. The Hirer will comply with the capacities and only use the premises for entertainment purposes within the times allowed and shown on the Community Premises Licence (displayed in the building).

e. The Hirer will ensure that all means of escape are kept clear and will not move or tamper with the fire extinguishers.

f. The Hirer will not allow any vehicles to be driven over the grass, or onto the hard standing directly in front of the main entrance.

g. The Hirer will leave the Hall in a Clean and Tidy condition with all accesses locked.
