Technical Bulletin#408
42RE, 42RH, 46RE, 46RH, 47RE, 48RE Transmission Failure after Installation

A restricted Auxiliary Transmission Cooler could be the cause of this issue. This could be overlooked during the flushing process because of a bypass tube that connects the two cooler lines together. It may appear that the Auxiliary Transmission Cooler has been cleared, when in actuality it has not.

Procedure:When installing a remanufactured transmission prior to flushing the transmission cooler lines, if the vehicle is equipped with an external transmission cooler it must be replaced.Failure to do so will void your warranty.
