BACKGROUND

Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA) is a charity operating in central London that has a track record of successfully supporting young people in organising and delivering their own community projects.

FYA has recently received funding from the Camden Partnership for Educational Excellence (CPEE) for a project that will bring together local educational institutions, voluntary organisations, and businesses to create an innovative enrichment programme for Camden young people which enables them to develop their employability skills and learning experiences.

The programme will help young people aged 15-19 raise their aspirations and educational outcomes, develop employability skills and provide an insight into the world of work and higher education.

Programme participants will be offered the opportunity to take part in a mentoring programme, work experience placements, study support groups, employability workshops and youth-led volunteering projects.
