The South Haven Public Schools Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization,separate from the South Haven Public Schools.
The mission of the South Haven Public Schools Foundation is to acquire and distribute financial and other resources to the South Haven Public Schoolsfor programs and projects aimed at enhancing and supplementing educational opportunities for our students. We promote academic values as well as innovation. With our funding, we nurture our students and by recognizing their diversity, we equip them with the educational tools they need to thrive as students today and productive citizens & leaders of tomorrow.

It is a fact that School Foundations help school children succeed in school! After incorporating early this year the South Haven Public Schools Foundation is beginning their fundraising efforts. Once the donations come in, the Grant Process will begin. This is when the teachers and school staff will be able to apply for the funding needed to bring the improvements & upgrades all to help our children learn better at school.
Below are a few projects that other local school foundations have been able to provide for their children, things that could benefit our children as well.
- Whiteboard Interactive Technology: For expanded teaching capabilities.
- Technology Improvements:Upgrading servers and buyinglaptop computers.
- iPads or Net Books:So all our children can keep up with the skills needed in this technological world.Classroom sets for student use.
- Creative and Innovated Ideas: Equipping the classroom with new and exciting ways of learning, aiding those pursuingcareers in any field, includingthe Arts & Music.
- Professional Learning: Study material for certified staff members,growing their capacity for meeting the needs of varied learners in one class room.
- Science Grant: Equipping our laboratories with upgraded equipment.
- Rosetta Stone & iPod Touch: Rosetta Stone-software programs that can be used in the classroom to aid for easier language learning.iPod- device for language interpretation in the classroom.
