• Annual tuition fees (not including summer term tuition): US$ 13,350

(The University provides US$ 4,005 as scholarship for each 2008-9 “1+2+1” Chinese student annually. The

actual tuition paid by each “1+2+1” Chinese student, not including any summers, is US$ 9,345.)

• Annual room and board fees: US$ 7,310 (not including vacation fees)

• Annual hospitalization and health insurance fees: US$ 864

• Other annual fees (technology, clinic, transportation, and activity fees): US$ 327

• Annual expenses of books and exercise books: US$ 986

• English Language Institute Summer Bridge Program (first year only): US$ 2,084

(Includes tuition, books, room and board.)

Students begin regular courses at Eastern when they obtain a minimum TOEFL score of 525 (paper test), 195

(computer-based test), or 71 (iBT), or pass the English Language Institute Level 5.
