Class 7 Novice Working Hunter

Jumps approx. 2’ – 2’3ft. Class may be split to 14.2hh & under/14.2+ if sufficient entries

Class 8 M&M Working Hunter approx. 12 noon

Jumps approx. 2’3- 2’6ft. Class may be split to small & large breeds if sufficient entries

Jumps approx. 2’9ft. Class may be split to 14.2hh & under/14.2+ if sufficient entries

Competitors will be expected to negotiate a short course of obstacles. In the event of equal faults fastest time wins. Have as many goes as you like.

We will try to run the height the same as the show jumping throughout the day but any height can be catered for

Dressage times will not be given. Riders give their number to Ring Steward when they wish to compete. The classes will close at 3:15pm with a 30 min break between 12:30 & 1pm.

Dressage riders please leave a stamped SAE with the Secretary if you will not be available to collect your sheets.

RULES

1. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that neither the organisers nor landowners nor their agents shall be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage to competitors, onlookers, their property, servants or horses or ponies, howsoever caused.

2. The Committee reserve the right to refuse or cancel the entry/ies made by any person if they deem fit to do so without giving any due reason, also the right to cancel, amend or amalgamate any classes.

3. No entry fees will be refunded without a veterinary surgeon’s or doctor's certificate.

4. Any protest against a decision of the judges should be made in accordance with British Riding Clubs rule G14 of 2017 rule book.

5. Everyone mounted, whether or not a competitor, shall wear correct riding clothes, which must include ‘Protective Headwear’ to British Standard PAS 015, with a harness properly adjusted and fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination.

6. All dogs to remain on leads on the show ground and lorry park.

7. Horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over.

8. Entry fees will not be returned unless the event has to be cancelled for any reason, when the Committee reserve the right to retain up to 20% of any entry fee to cover administration costs, etc.

9. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards and take all reasonable precautions themselves to avoid and prevent accidents occurring. First Aid cover will be limited to a first aider on site and NHS emergency call out.

Becoming a member of the South Downs Bloodhounds Hunt Club will entitle you to a Hunt Club badge, a map for each days hunting, and you will be e-mailed before each days hunting. All for the cost of £20 per year. £10 for under 18’s & £40 for a family (2 adults & 2 under 18’s)
