Homework will typically be graded as follows:
Each homework will be out of ten points. Three questions will randomly be graded, for a value of two points each. One point will be for the correct answer, and the other point will come from the work showed. These three questions will account for six points on the homework. Three points will come from the general completion of the assignment. One point will come from general neatness of the assignment.
General completion points will be awarded as follows:
3 ptsAll problems are answered and all work is evident
2 ptsMost problems are answered or most work is evident
1 ptFew problems are answered or few work is evident
0 ptNo problems are answered or no work is evident
Students arriving to class illegally late, or are illegally absent will receive a zero for the homework and quiz. Students that are legally absent or late will either have the assignment or quiz waived, or will have to have a remake.

Labs
At the end of each quarter, the student must have all labs satisfactorily written. Any lab not completed and/ or written up will result in a deduction of 10% off of the quarter average, for each lab. For example, if the student is missing 3 labs at the end of the first quarter, the maximum grade possible will be a 70%. This will carry over to the following quarters until the student has completed the labs. If at the end of the second quarter the student has still not completed the labs, the maximum second quarter grade will be a 70%.
Participation
To earn 10 points for participation, a student has all materials,
does not disturb others learning, and attempts to learn.

0 pointsstudent is missing all of the above characteristics
Midterm
The end of second quarter exam will occur during exam week.
