THE Reid Access Bursary
Background information and application.
Plymouth University is committed to providing the springboard of a qualification to all those capable of achieving it, and determined to make maximum effort to assist individuals whose financial situation would otherwise be the reason for withdrawing from study.
In the 2015-16 Academic Year we will be accepting applications for The Reid Access Bursary,which can provide financial support for up to threeCivil and Coastal Engineering undergraduate students studying here at Plymouth University. The bursary has been provided to the University by a Trust, the Guildford Academic Associates, and aims to support the advancement of education in the Science & Technology areas.
The following criteria will be used to identify and select successful applicants.

You will need to:

  • be a Civil and Coastal Engineering student at Plymouth University
  • be preferably female
  • have a household income below £25k
  • be the first family member to attend university

Due to the nature of the way that we receive the funds to allocate, Reid Access Bursary amountswill vary in amount each time the fund opens.

2015-16 awards have been set at £650.00 per annum and will be paid at this rate for each successfully completed year of study (awards will not be made during a repeat a year of study).

Successful applicants will be notified by 18th December 2015 and payments will be made at the start of the second term in January.
