Condition(s) for Transfer

  • This articulation agreement applies only to the B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education with Teacher Certification Pre K-4 and is aligned with current degree requirements. Any future changes to the degree program may not be applicable to this agreement and may necessitate renegotiation.
  • A change major invalidates these courses/credits for transfer unless they are approved within some other program-to-program articulation agreement for a different major at TennesseeStateUniversity.
  • A minimum 2.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for transferable credits. A GPA of 2.75 is required for Early Childhood Education and Family and Consumer Sciences Education majors.
  • Other general education approved courses may be accepted by TSU for transfer credit per the approved TSU and NSCC General Education charts found at.

*NSCC cannot require more than 60 credit hours for the Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. However, to maximize transfer courses,it isrecommended that students take the following course (Math 1410)whichtotals 61 credit hours. Students can also graduate by completing 2 PHED courses instead ofMath 1410 and graduate with 60 hours.
