The Pope: Resignation and Election 2013 (Length: 14:45)

In early February, Pope Benedict XVI announced he would be retiring as head of the Roman Catholic Church. The announcement came as a surprise to those both inside and outside Vatican City. With extreme haste, the church moved to elect a new pope. And on March 13, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Bergoglio, became Pope Francis.
