On March 22, 2017 there will be a planned power outage for maintenance. The outage will affect customers in the vicinity of View Lane and Cacapon Retreat Lane. You will experience a service interruption from approximately 8:00am till 10:00am. In the event of inclement weather the planned outage will be rescheduled to March 23, 2017. The county offices in the courthouse are closed for tuesday, March 14

The Morgan County Building Commission will meet on Monday, March 13th to sign an amendment to the lease agreement with Procter & Gamble. The meeting will be held in the County Commission meeting room at 5:15pm.

Bridge to be Closed Near Duckwall for Reconstruction
BURLINGTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists that Duckwall Bridge on Highland Ridge Road (Morgan County Route 8) will be closed beginning Feb. 27.
The closure, located about 0.16 miles south of Earl Weber Road (CR 26/1), is necessary for the demolition and reconstruction of the existing bridge. Rock Forge Bridge Company will be performing the work and will have a detour in place with a temporary bridge structure. Demolition is scheduled to begin on March 1 or 2.
Detour signage will be in place, and motorists are encouraged to slow down when traveling through the work zone.
Work is anticipated to be completed by Aug. 28.
