Services/work required / The work performed by the Database Administrators/System Administrators will consist of:
Data Warehouse DBA -
- Database administration primarily in the development and test domains
- Promotions of release candidates to the test environment
- Maintenance of physical database structures
- Version control of database definition scripts
- Programming of stored procedures and triggers
- Preparation and execution of scripts
- Data management tasks relating to application interfaces
- Monitoring, reporting and correction of data accuracy
- Maintenance of release standards
- SQL Administration and support
Database Designer –
- Oracle 11G administration and support
- Aged Care Gateway provisioning.

- Support the Oracle Middleware components that are associated with the Aged Care Gateway solution and the existing Department’s Siebel instance, FOFMS. These components include:
o OPA;
o OEDQ;
o IAM (OHS/OVD) and;
o OAG.
- Support of multiple SharePoint farms for DSS and NDIA. Experience in managing SharePoint 2013, 2010 and 2007 farms is mandatory.
- Support of .NET platforms and related components including code releases and overall maintenance of the infrastructure. This role will require a sound understanding of how .NET solutions are architected and function;
- Support of SAS components that relate to system maintenance. Components include:
o Management of SAS access, PC files, OLE DB and other Microsoft Office Add-ins
- Support the Department’s instance of Cognos (10.2.1) including management of servers, access and updates. Cognos components include:
o Transformer
o Cube Designer
o Framework Manager

Note: This is not a report developer role.
- Support of an enterprise level TRIM/HP Records Manager instance, particularly with RM8 and IDOL. Exposure and understanding of InMailX would be greatly desirable and skills to automate administration would be highly desirable.

- Demonstrated experience in at least one of below:
- 5 + years of experience and proven skills in the administration of SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012 or Oracle 10g/11g/12c
- Ability to develop complex T-SQL or PL/SQL code using stored procedures, triggers, views and functions
- Understanding of SQL Server/Oracle database functions and related usage such as indexing, query tuning and performance
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing particularly WhereScape RED or SAS DI is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience with SSRS/SSIS/SSAS desirable
- Experience with one or multiple of the following database technologies: SQL 2005, SQL 2008, SQL 2012

- Consolidation of multiple Oracle Fusion Middleware components that form part of a large scale multi instance Siebel environment
- Provision and upgrade of SharePoint farms including intranet and internet environments
- Streamlining .Net platforms that interact with different non-Microsoft environments
- Consolidating of SAS environments from an infrastructure perspective
- Ongoing investment and development of Cognos environments including refinement of security and day to day process that align with the ITIL framework
- Ongoing investment and development of the TRIM platform.
- Configuration and maintenance of vendor and custom solutions for automated provisioning of platform and application services
- Utilise knowledge and experience with Oracle application platform requirements and configuration and vendor frameworks to implement automation solutions
- Knowledge on Infrastructure O/S, Windows, Linux, Network services, integrations with Authentication Services as well as experience provisioning for Microsoft/Oracle DB and Microsoft, Siebel/Oracle application platforms
- Knowledge and experience installing and configuring automated solutions using both vendor specific and open source technologies
- Possess Baseline security clearance.

Other requirements
E.g Location, Security Clearance Level / The specified personnel must be covered by the Workers Compensation in the relevant States or Territory.
The successful candidate is required to undertake police check to be conducted by DSS. Start date is subject to finalised police check. Unfavourable outcome may result to early termination of the contract.
A minimum of Baseline vetting Security Clearance is required for this role.
The successful candidate will be based in Tuggeranong ACT.
