THE PIKECOUNTY
RETIRED TEACHER’S ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established in 2004 to assist a
PikeCounty graduating senior on a rotating basis
commencing with Eastern, Piketon, Waverly, and Western,
who plans to become licensed in Teacher Education.
The qualified applicant will receive a non-renewable
scholarship in the amount of $300.00. In the event there is
not a qualified applicant from the designated school, the
next succeeding school will be considered.
Eligibility
1. Recipients of this scholarship must be residents of Pike
County for a minimum of four years, including the year of
graduation.
2. Must complete an application and attach a transcript
with ACT or SAT scores.
3. Must be a full-time student at an accredited college or
university.
4. 3.00 G.P.A (Or better)
5. Must have a completed recommendation form from
either a teacher or guidance counselor.
6. Please write or type a one page essay on why you want
to become a teacher.
The final selection of the qualified applicant will be done
by the Pike County Retired Teacher’s Scholarship
committee. Please return the application, essay, and
recommendation to your home high school guidance office
no later than.
