Nominee Criteria

Must be a parent mentor for a local school district a minimum of two years OR a special education administrator responsible for supervising a local parent mentor program and have had a parent mentor on staff for two or more years. (Current GaPMP Leadership Council Chair is not eligible.)

Must demonstrate:

ü  effective partnership practices, both in local school district and statewide

ü  collaborative work between home, school, and community to improve outcomes for SWD

ü  leadership accomplishments in his/her local district and statewide

ü  support of the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP)

ü  support of the Georgia Parent Mentor Partnership
