Softball Alberta was established in 1931 & incorporated in 1948 in an effort to govern, offer programs, promote, communicate and increase awareness of the sport of softball to all residents of Alberta. Since 1965, Softball Alberta has affiliated with the Canadian Amateur Softball Association, the official governing body for Softball in Canada.

Our volunteer based, non-profit association and its Board of Directors have developed many programs and services over the years to assist players, coaches, league executives, umpires and all members to further promote and enhance the sport of softball.

Softball Alberta consists of 8 geographical zones with approximately 18,000 athletes, coaches, officials & volunteers participating in various softball programs throughout the province. Annually, Softball Alberta hosts up to 45 provincial championships and provincial member associations also have the availability to host Western & Canadian Championships.

Collectively we provide opportunities for players, coaches, officials and volunteers by developing, delivering and promoting innovative, quality programs and services at the Community and Provincial level.

Softball Alberta hosts up to 45 provincial championships each year. Some 200+ teams from across Alberta participate in over 45 divisions of play.   • All firms should submit proposals based on the following terms and conditions. Those failing to do so may default their ability to be considered for the project.

  2. Proposals should be based on a three (3) year term.
  3. Proposals must not be shared with any of our competitors or their affiliates.

Proposal Evaluation

  • Selection of proposals will be at the sole judgment of Softball Alberta Executive Board of Directors. Softball Alberta will consider all parts of the proposal collectively, but place an emphasis on prior experience, technology standards, customer service and cost in the selection process.
  • Softball Alberta will select the respondent that in the sole judgment of Softball Alberta best satisfies the requirements and the expectations of Softball Alberta; and can do so at the best value to Softball Alberta. Selection may not be the proposal with the greatest financial amount. Respondents may not contest for any reason the selection of Softball Alberta.
