As part of the celebration, a provincial theme is chosen annually that speaks to the focus of Catholic Education. The 2018 theme for Catholic Education Week is “Renewing the Promise”.During this week, all of the HCDSB’s schools will host activities that will encourage each school community and the public to celebrate this year's theme and to discoverwhat Catholic Education means for each of us.
Throughout this week, our students will be involved in many special activities.Parents/Guardians/Grandparents are invited to visit their child’s classroomat thedesignated times listed below.Please sign in at the office and get a visitor tag upon entering the school.

GRADE 2 ~ All Grade 2 classes will be leading our school Marion Liturgy on Tuesday, May 1 at 9:15am. Parents are invited to join us in the gym as the grade 2’s lead us in prayer, readings and song.
Also, grade 2’s are preparing to celebrate their First Communion that takes place at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday April 21 at 10:00 a.m. (Gagliardi, McGrath, Whatman) and 1:00 p.m. (Brown, Martin, Roach)

  1. LIBRARY – THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIRwill return to our school during the Week of April 30-May 4 (the week prior to CEW). The fair will run daily from 8:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Come out to support our library and stock up on summer reading for your children. For every $10 purchased at the fair, Queen of Heaven School earns up to $6 to spend on new books.

  1. Please join us for our annual school Talent Show on Thursday, May 3rd at 1:00-2:15 pm in the gym.
  1. Please join us for our school-wide Walk with Jesus Liturgy on Friday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. We will end with a celebration of “Walking with Jesus” as all FDK-Gr. 8 classes will walk around the park trail. Parents/Grandparents are welcome to join our walk too!
