Burnsville In-House Baseball operates under a “spirit of the game” philosophy and a fair play requirement. Good sportsmanship is required by all participants

Tournament rules and Information:

Pitching limitations per day: Pitchers will be restricted to 3 Innings per game with a 6 innings maximum for pool play games

For Bracket play, ALL teams/pitchers will be restricted to 3 innings per game with 6 innings maximum for the day on Sunday.

Clarification on Length of games: POOL Games will be 6 Innings while Bracket play on Sunday will be 7 innings each. (Pending modification due to weather or time limits)

Infield fly rule and drop 3rd strike rules are in effect.

Balks willbe called.

Stealing/leading off: Full lead off and stealing allowed.

Base distance is 75’, Pitching Distance is 52’,

Batting order is continuous with all players

All players must be scheduled to play four (4) innings of a six(6) inning game in the field, with at least one (1)inning being on the infield.

Players must slide to avoid contact if there is a play at the base. If contact is made without sliding, the base runner will be called out.

All teams must sign-in one hour prior to start time for first game of the tournament.

On-site Tournament director and/or site director will be present at each field complex.

Full concessions will be available at both sites.

Game balls provided by Burnsville Athletic Club In-House Baseball.

No inning may start more than 120 minutes (2 hours) after the SCHEDULED start of the game. Modifications to the start time, length of game etc. may be made by the tournament director or his designee.

Unless otherwise specified above, BAC in house rules for the Major League level will apply.

Scoring Instructions:

1. At the end of each side of an inning, confer with the opposing scorekeeper.

2. At the end of each game, both coaches and both umps must sign the official score sheet, which will then be submitted to the Tournament Director or Site Director table.

Pitching Tracking:

  1. Each time a pitcher takes the mound, mark his name and jersey number in the tracking sheet. Track both teams’ pitchers.
  2. At the end of each inning, confer with the ump and opposing scorekeeper to ensure accuracy.
  3. Submit the tracking sheet with the final score sheet.

Note: A score will not be recorded as official without the pitching tracker sheet.

Pool Play is Friday and Saturday, with the top 8 teams advancing to the championship bracket Seeds 9-12 will advance to the consolation bracket. Brackets will be seeded by head to head first, then the fewest runs against, followed by runs scored, and then a coin flip should a tie still exist.
