The New Me: Maximizing Functional Outcomes After Brain Injury.

Overview of Conference:

The objective of this one dayconference is to provide information and practical strategies for managing an acquired brain injury. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from a variety of experts in their field of practice. A break-out session will provide individual time to ask more questions about certain topic during the morning.

Key Note Address with Dr. Tony Iezzi, who will discuss the risk of suicide post brain injury and provide a clinician’s view of the signs and symptoms for caregivers and practitioners to be aware of. He will also discuss treatment strategies and provide functional advice on first steps in managing a suicide risk.

The breakout sessions of the conference are designed to meet the needs specifically of survivors, caregivers and or family members.
