The NDIS in WA Conversation is the name of a big meeting.
TheDisability Services Commissionand the Disability Coalitionhave made a big meetingtime for people with disability and their families.
At the big meeting you will be able to talk to people about the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Three hundred people will be at the meeting.
The meeting is at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is a building in Perth city near the Esplanade train station. There is a map on the last page.

Here are the difficult words
To advocacy means to speak up for yourself or someone else can do it for you.
Choice and controlmeans being able to make decisions and choose the things in your life that are important to you.
The Disability Coalitionis a group of people who work for advocacy and other organisations that help people with disability and their families.
Disability Services Commission is the part of the government that helps people with disability.
If you areeligibleit means you are able to make a plan and get support from the NDIS.
A lanyardis a ribbon joined to a card with your name on. You can wear it around your neck so people know you belong at the meeting.
The National Disability Insurance Schemeis a new way the government will help people with disability to live a good life. Sometimes we will say NDISwhen we mean National Disability Insurance Scheme.
When we sayPCEC we mean the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
When we sayProgramwe mean something written on paper or on the computer that tells you about a meeting.
Psychosocial disability means a person may have trouble with their thinking and feelings and maynot be able to have a good life.
Reasonable and necessary supports are the supports that you can get if you are eligible to make a NDIS plan.
The registration deskis a special table near the front door of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. People at the desk will help you get your lanyard and find out where to go to join the meeting.
