Dear Suncrest Parents/Guardians,

Suncrest students have been busily preparing for our Spring musical Welcome in the Spring: The Myth of Demeter and Persephone. The musical incorporates the musical learning, drama and arts which students have been learning in their classes, and in some cases through their extracurricular involvement in the school

We will be having two performances to accommodate our school size, anticipated audience turnout, and regulations limiting the occupancy of our gym. Half of the school's divisions will be performing on Wednesday, May 18th and the other half of the school's divisions will be performing on Thursday, May 19th. The performance will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on each night. Students must be at school at 6:30 p.m. on the night of their performance. The following information outlines specifically when your child(ren) will be performing.

May 18 - Divisions 2, 3, 5, 6, 10 & 12 plus Cast, Crew, Greek Chorus, & Instrument Group

May 19 - Divisions 1, 4, 7, 8, 9 & 11 plus Cast, Crew, & Greek Chorus, & Instrument Group

Due to regulations our performance has an occupancy of 350 seats per show. Families may request up to 2 tickets for each show where they have children performing. Doors will open for audiences at 6:30 p.m.

Information about costumes has already been communicated with students in their individual divisions. Costumes are to be brought to school for Thursday, May 12th to be worn for the dress rehearsals and to both performances.

Ticket Order

Please return this ticket order form to your child’s teacher no later than

WEDNESDAY, MAY 11th. Late orders cannot be accommodated.

The cost of each ticket will be $2.00. All proceeds from these ticket sales will be used to offset the cost of production for these performances and to support the arts within Suncrest Elementary.

In the event that there are extra tickets available, families may put their name in for a lottery for up to two additional tickets for either of the two shows. Any extra tickets will be awarded using a random lottery. Once a family is drawn for one evening performance, they will be withdrawn from the lottery for the other performance.
