The Model Comes in a Very Attractive Box with Nice Graphics and the Material Has Been Upgraded

The model comes in a very attractive box with nice graphics and the material has been upgraded to a much higher quality. The model sits in a clear plastic shell securely packaged inside the cardboard box.

I’m not a rivet counter and never will be when dealing with good models in this price range. If I dropped double the money on a model I would become a rivet counter.

First thing is the weight of the model. When you pick it up you know plastic is an absolute minimum and you actually received die-cast metal that you wanted because you are collecting metal not plastic.

The fit and finish are second to none, this model is up to the high standards we expect from Hobby Master. The canopy sits nice and snug on the fuselage, no huge gaps. The paint is flawless with one color blending nicely into the next one. The markings are well defined and easily read, even the markings on the prop blades as well as the fine print on the under side of the wings can be read but you may need to use a magnifying glass it is so minute.

The landing gear is easily changed by simply inserting the one piece gear into the slots on the model, no fussing or messing around trying to get 2 or 3 pieces all to stay in place. There is a small plug that can be put in the belly if you aren’t going to use the stand that is supplied. The pilot figure looks nice sitting in his seat inside a modest cockpit but then they were that elaborate back then compared to today’s fighters.

For this being the first release to make to the stores I would have to say for the money you get what you hoped for and perhaps a little better. I think Hobby Master has hit a home run with the Hurricane and I look forward to more schemes. This is a fine piece of workmanship. Remember, these Hurricanes were the real heroes of the BoB.
