Dates:

The mandatory Exchange Orientation and Welcome forfall term 2010will be held on the first Wednesday and Thursday of September (1st and 2nd). The Adventure Tour will take place from September 3rd to September 5th, with exact confirmation of the date to follow in the next month. (Please only nominate students who are able to attend the mandatory exchange orientation and welcome)

The mandatory Exchange Orientation and welcome for spring term 2011 will be held on the first Tuesday of January (4th). (Please only nominate students who are able to attend the mandatory exchange orientation and welcome)

Accommodation:

Homestayis an excellent option for your students and they need to apply by June 15th. Placement is with a Canadian host family who will provide housing, food and a safe, comfortable and friendly home. Please visit for more information.

If students are interested in living in residence, please make sure that they submit an online housing application form as soon as possible on or after March 31st, 2010 at 7 amPST at . When they fill out the form, they must use a temporary student number for exchange students. It isV00000001 (V plus seven0s plus 1). Additionally, they must complete the $25-application fee payment by credit card withinfourteen days after submitting the online form. Please find similar instructions on the attached exchange application form. We have limited rooms on hold for Business exchange students, and rooms are assigned to them on a first-come-first-served basis.

If students wish to live off campus, please inform them that it can be difficult to find off campus accommodation. We will provide assistance, but the primary responsibility lieswith students. We strongly encourage those students to arrive a week toten days prior to the mandatory Exchange Orientation, inorder to find off campus accommodation.

Courses:

The list of courses attached to this email is a tentative one. There will be some changes. We have also attached a list of detailed course outlines for students to select their courses. Please advise your students to fill out our course registration form and provide us with the top 7 preferred courses (list 14 or more if staying for two terms).Please also note that only courses listed in the attached course list will be offered.
