The main presentation should be :03 -:05 min long (pairs :06 -:10).

Requires an effective, refined script and practiced delivery/presentation.

Be prepared for a Questions regarding your project.

Title: / Think up a descriptive title. Try to be creative if it fits.

Challenge: / What challenge/goal/question drove your work?
What did you want to do and why?
What were you attempting to accomplish?
Learning: / What did you learn?
How were you challenged?
Were there any variables that came up that were unexpected?
Process: / Explain your process and discuss/show the products of your work. If there were any setbacks don’t be afraid to talk about them, too. Often, we learn from trials/obstacles. Remember that “failure” was an option, and regardless of whether your project ‘got off the ground’ to start, there was real-life learning.
Motivation: / Talk about your purpose or what the audience should learn from your project. Inspire your audience with your passion for your pursued activity.What is the future of your project?
Conclusion / Include a meaningful “take-away”/reflection for the audience.
Rubric: / Think about your project pitch rubric. Did you learn what you expected to learn?

Description / 4 Exceeding / 3 Meeting / 2 Progressing
Eye Contact with Audience / Holds attention of entire audience with the use of direct eye contact, rarely looking at notes.
Volume, Articulation, Clarity & Intonation/Inflection / Speaks with variations in volume and inflection to maintain audience interest and emphasize key points.
Body Language / “Works” the room without fidgeting or swaying. Gestures are helpful in delivering content information.
Information was well Organized / Provides clear purpose and subject; important examples, facts…; demonstrates full knowledge by answering all audience questions with explanations and elaboration (if applicable).
Content was Appropriate for the Task/Project / Presentation was on-task for the project.
Evidence of Rehearsal / The student, not the visuals, drives the talk.
Time Frame / The presentation was properly timed, :03 -:05 minutes for individual or :06 -:10 for a pair. If a pair presents, the delivery is shared as equally as possible.
