DCHS Staff Member of the Month

2014-2015

The Tribe Scribe staff and the United First Federal Credit Union of Eastman support DCHS school spirit and involvement by sponsoring the Staff Member of the Month program.Nominations will be accepted from students and staff. The attached nomination form lists the criteria for nomination for teachers at DCHS.

This form is due on the 15th of the month for consideration for the following month. (ie: January 15, 2005 for February Student of the Month Consideration)

Selection Guidelines

Each month of the school year, the Tribe Scribe staff will sponsor the selection of a Staff Member of the Month.

1.A teacher who has been selected “Staff Member of the Month” will not be eligible again during that school year.

2.Any student or staff member may nominate teachers each month. (Nomination forms may be obtained from Ms. Mullis in room 154.)

3.All nomination forms must be signed by the staff member or the student making the nomination.

4.Teacher nominations should be based on the following criteria:

a. Teacher should have a positive influence throughexemplary qualities of character, citizenship, service, and leadership.

b. Teacher should be a certified staff member.

c. Teacher should be kind, respected among peers, leader in community, willing to help others, should have a positive attitude, patience, andunderstanding, should not show favoritism, be knowledgeable about subject, and should relate well to students.

5.Nomination forms should be given to the Tribe Scribe advisor for preparation of the ballot.

6.Teacher selected as "Teacher of the Month" will be recognized in the following ways:

a. Exhibit in prominent location in the school (Teachers will be contacted for information and exhibit items, such as

pictures, certificates, etc.)

b. Certificate of recognition

c. School intercom announcement

d. Local newspaper articles

e. School newspaper article

f. Gift from local program sponsor

Note: Nominations will be held over from month to month.
