2016-2017 Student Intern Application

Thank you for taking an interest in the student intern position for the LeaderShape Institute at The University of Georgia. The intern is a critical member of the LeaderShape planning and implementation team, and also serves as a driving force behind keeping graduates of the Institute in action. Strong candidates for the position will have excellent communication and organization skills, as well as show initiative in creating and implementing new and existing projects.

Intern Responsibilities:

●Schedule weekly meetings with the Grad Advisor and Program Coordinator to discuss programming, recruitment and selection, and preparation for the 2017 LeaderShape Institute

●Assist the Program Coordinator with planning and implementing the LeaderShape 2017 Reunion

●Serve as Chair of the LeaderShape-in-Action Committee (LAC)

●This includes preparing for and running all LAC meetings

●Assist the Graduate Advisor and Program Coordinator in the two Revisit Retreats

●With LAC, plan social events and programs to help keep past LeaderShape participants

engaged throughout the year

●Assist in conducting formal and informal assessments of the program

●Plan and implement a participant recruitment strategy and prepare all marketing materials

●Conduct LeaderShape participant interviews and participate in participant selection

●Ensure that all materials for the LeaderShape Institute are acquired and keep an active inventory for the year, including t-shirts, promotional materials, office supplies, etc.

●Prepare for and attend the Participant Orientation and all Participant Information Sessions

●Assist Graduate On-Site Coordinator with creating the team challenge course and organizing all materials for the course and other components of the LeaderShape Institute

●Serve as the Student On-Site Coordinator for the 2017 LeaderShape Institute

●Must be available: May 06th, 2017 – May 13th, 2017
