As a new member, we would like to welcome you to Horne Park Golf Club and hope you will enjoy being a member here. The Ladies Section is very well established and has many competitions and matches throughout the year. We would encourage you to join in so that you can meet other members, have fun and improve your game.

Weekly dates for your diary:
Tuesday afternoons -the Ladies Section has a fun 9-hole game from 12.30. This is where new members can get involved and for those very new to golf to learn some of the rules. If you are a winter member and do not have a club handicap as yet, you are more than welcome to come along. You will be given a provisional handicap of 36. Most of these Tuesday games are team games and are meant to be fun.Even if you are not yet a member, you can join in. Everyone is welcome.
Thursday mornings - the Ladies have 4 tee times from 10.00for 18 holes – during the winter these are just roll up games (no handicap required). In April the qualifying games start and then you will need a club handicap to enter.
Saturday mornings - we can book 4 tee times from 09.30 for 18 holes (same format as Thursday).
Sign-up sheets for all of these are on our noticeboard (or ring the Pro Shop to sign up or cancel).
If you are currently a winter member and you decide to become a full member at the end of February, you will then be able to enter 3 x 18 hole score cards to get your club handicap – please ask any of the ladies, who are more than willing to go out with you to mark your card. NB: As long as one of the cards is for 18 holes, the others can be over 9 holes. Good luck with this.
Please look on the ladies noticeboard for the other competitions and Matches that we will be playing over the year. Also, don’t forget to look on the main noticeboard, just inside the front door, to see Club competition entry sheets and Mixed Pairs Knock-outs, and other general information.
