SCOPE OF SYMPOSIUM

Sponsored and organized by the 21st Century COE Program of both NagaokaUniversity of Technology and ISIR, Osaka University, the International Symposium on Hybrid Nano Materials Toward Future Industries (HNM 2006) will be held in Nagaoka from February 3rd to 5th, 2006, in conjunction with The 13th International Seminar on Core University Program between Japan and Korea supported by JSPS and KOSEF) andThe International Symposium on Novel Processing and Related Technology for New Nanotechnology Composite Materials by Extreme Energy Density Research Institute, Nagaoka University of Technology. The purpose of this joint symposium is to bring together state-of-the-art developments on all aspects related to processing and properties of advanced nano materials including ceramics, hybrids and composites. This symposium will be focused on the industrialization of above mentioned new materials that is essential for the sustainable future society.

TOPICS of HNM 2006

The scientific program will consist of plenary and invited lectures, submitted oral contributions and poster presentations on science and technology of nano hybrid materials and their industrialization. Topics of interest include but not limited to:

Ceramics, Metals, Polymers, Composite materials, Hybrid Materials, Glass and Glass Ceramics, Processing Technology, Materials Machining, and Nano-Technology

REGISTRATION FEE

Registration fee is10,000 JPY/participant and 3,000 JPY/student. It includes Abstract Book,Welcome Party,Formal Receptionand also a copy of the Proceedings of the symposium which will be published after the Conference.Only Cash (JPY) is acceptable.The registration is free for the students to encourage their participating except for 3,000 JPY for welcome party and banquet. ACCOMODATIONS

Nagaoka Grand Hotel and Hotel New Otani very close to JR Nagaoka station are reserved for the symposium participants. The special rate is as follows:

Nagaoka Grand Hotel;

Single room with breakfast:7,000 Yen, Double room with breakfast: 8.700Yen (not including tax)

Hotel New Otani ;

Single room with breakfast:6,500 Yen (not including tax)

The participant to reserve the above-mentioned hotel should contact to the symposium secretariat untilJanuary 15, 2006.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Organizing Committee will accept papers on any topics related to the science and technology of advanced materials. After submission of Registration Form, the committee will inform the author(s) the acceptance or rejection of the paper, and whether the accepted presentation is oral or poster, by January 10, 2006.

GUIDELINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

1. Abstracts should be sent to by January 15, 2006.

The manuscript should be typewritten on one side of white A4orregal size paper. Top, bottom, right and left margins with 20 mm. DO NOT draw the framework.

The following information should appear at the head of the abstract with a line space between each item and before the main text (12pt).

- Title (14pt in BLOCK LETTERS)

- Name(s) of author(s) : the presenting author should be underlined. (12pt)

- Institution, city, country, zip code (12pt)

- presenting author’s E-Mail address (12pt)

2. The abstracts will be printed exactly as submitted.

3. Send your abstract by attached MS-WORD files.

4. All abstracts submitted byJanuary 15, 2006 and accepted for presentation will be printed in the Conference Abstracts.

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

Conference Proceedings will bepublished as a special issue of “Advances in Technology of Materials and Materials Processing, Journal (ATM)” after the Conference.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PROCEEDINGS

Manuscripts for the Proceedings should be submitted at the reception desk of the Symposium, on February 3rd, 2006. The papers are subjected to reviewing by the Scientific Committee. The pages allocated is 5 pages for each paper.
