The HP Service Qualification Program defines the testing and training requirements for individuals providing support services under HP service authorization programs. The Service Qualification website provides a view of the testing and training requirements in an easy to view format grouped by HP product lines. From the Service Qualification website users can quickly determine the required testing and/or training for the product or product family and access the necessary training and exams.

What is Service Qualification?

Service and support providers must complete the requirements as defined for each Service Qualification plan in order to provide warranty services and to receive service and support entitlements under HP authorized service partner programs. Service Qualification applies only to active employees of HP authorized service providers.

Service Qualification aligns to HP channel service partner programs. This includes break/fix warranty support for imaging, printing, commercial computing, and storage products. Service Qualifications must be completed for the product or product family as defined under each Qualification plan.


Most Service Qualifications include an HP Certified Professional APS level certification and may have additional requirements. Imaging and Printing Service Qualifications require other activities specific to the product as outlined below:
