All applicants must submit proof of participation in the program or internship/work experience, travel to the research site, or acceptance into a graduate program.

All applicants must arrange for the submission of one letter of recommendation from a university instructor.

Terms of the award

The award is made by the administrators of the Schering Fund. Award winners will receive a letter of notification in May. In most cases the student’s financial account will be credited. Award monies will be disbursed only upon completion of the study abroad/immersion program, internship/work experience, or research conducted during the dates indicated; students pursuing an advanced degree in German will receive their award after the first month of the first semester of graduate study.
