For Greeks living abroad, the procedure for the issuance of passports is inevitably lengthier in time, due to the fact that the required application and all the supporting documents have to be forwarded to the Greek Police and then the new passports have to be sent to our Office. As a general rule, the period between submission of application and arrival of the new passport to the Consulate is approximately 2 months. Citizens are strongly advised to initiate the procedure well in advance prior to their planned travelling arrangements.
