The great outdoors camp

July 10,11,12,13

At the July camp we will be learning about nature and the world around us. We will be planting flowers, playing games outside, learning about all things outdoors, taking a trip to the Mill Creek Ravine, learning about bugs and ending the camp off with a field trip to the Telus World of Science.

Ages 5-up

A little bit of everything camp

August 21,22,23,24

At the August camp we will be doing several different fun activities. We will learn about chemical reactions in cooking and having fun making things explode. We will be making Lego stop motion, doing Lego challenges and even art on the side. This is a camp for everyone as there are so many different choices. We will be finishing the summer camp off with a trip to WEM Sea Cavern.

FEES:

Please make ALL cheques to the Avonmore Community League. Cash will be accepted as well, but we are unable to except credit cards or debit.

Each program fee is 150.00.

Avonmore Community Membership holders get a discount, only paying 130.00 per program. Memberships will be available on site and because they expire the end of August, they are discounted at half price for the summer.

Requirements:

Children enrolled in the program will be required to bring a lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle, as we believe it is very important to keep children well hydrated. We will ask that the children bring a change of clothing, hat, towel and a bathing suit, as we will most likely end our day at the water park depending on the weather. Please pack bug spray and suntan lotion as well.

Program Leader Information:

Program Leaders have their first aid training andVulnerable Sector Check. The head program leader will be equipped with a cell phone at all times and the number will be made available to parents during drop off, in the event that parents or caregivers require contact with the leaders at any time.
