The Good Man and the Bad Man
There are two men.They are very different. One is good and one is bad.
One day the good man goes walking in the woods. He takes some steamed buns with him.He is hungry, so he takes a bun out of his pocket.
It drops on the ground and rolls away. The good man looks everywhere. He cannot find his bun. But he hears a strange little sound. The good man takes another bun out of his pocket. He lets it drop on the ground and roll away.He hears the sound again. The good man follows the sound. He sees a little squirrel.
"Thank you for the delicious buns," says the little squirrel.
"You are welcome." says the good man.
"Because you have such a good heart, I have a present for you," says the little squirrel. The squirrel shows the good man two boxes.One is big and one is little.
"Which one do you want?" asks the squirrel.
"Give me the little one," says the good man.
He takes the box and goes home happily.The good man shows the box to his wife. They open it, and it is full of diamonds and gold.
The bad man hears about the magic box.He wants a box, too. So he brings some dirty buns from the garbage and puts them in his pocket.
He goes walking in the woods. He drops a dirty bun on the ground and it rolls away.
He hears a little sound. The bad man drops another dirty bun on the ground and it rolls away. He hears the sound again.The bad man follows the sound.He sees a little squirrel.
"These buns are terrible!" says the squirrel.
"Just give me a box," says the bad man.
The squirrel shows the bad man two boxes.One is big and one is little.
"Give me the big one," says the man.He takes the big box and goes home. The bad man shows the box to his wife.They open it and it is not full of diamonds and gold. Ugly ghosts come out.The bad man and woman run away and are scared to death.

The Ice Cream Touch
Tommy loved ice cream.He ate ice cream every day. He couldn't bear to live without ice cream.
One day,Tommy met a vanilla ice cream-colored rabbit in the woods.
"I have magic power. I can give you one wish," said the rabbit.
"Really? May I?" Tommy was surprised.
"Yes," said the rabbit.
"I wish everything I touch would be ice cream," Tommy said.
"Good.This is a magic pill.After you eat it, your wish will come true," said the rabbit.
The next morning, Tommy took the pill.He wondered what would happen next.
He touched his red pillow. It became ice cream. He took a bite, he found it was delicious!
Tommy was very excited.He touched all the things in his room. Now he had an ice cream bed, an ice cream quilt, and an ice cream desk.
"The magic is real!" he shouted.
He touched his white pants and red shirts.They became ice cream!
Now Tommy was a little upset. He couldn't get dressed.He started to cry.
Guess what? They were ice cream tears.
Then Tommy heard a sound.
It was Mimi, his pure white little cat. Mimi was Tommy's best friend.Tommy cuddled his cat.
"Oh, no!" His best friend also became ice cream.
At that moment, the vanilla ice cream-colored rabbit showed up.
The rabbit looked at all the ice cream and asked,"What happened? You look so sad."
Tommy cried loudly.
"Please help me.I don't want any ice cream! I just want my cat back!"
"Well, OK," said the rabbit, "Now I will give you another wish. Touch things with your right hand and they will return to their original form."
Tommy stopped crying.
He touched Mimi with his right hand. Mimi was pure white again and leaned against him. Tommy was so happy!
Then he touched all his things. Very soon, there was no more ice cream.
Now Tommy still loved ice cream. He still ate ice cream every day, but he made a wish in his heart: "I wish I never see that vanilla ice cream-colored rabbit ever again!"

Big Surprise
Mama Bear lived in a very beautiful forest. She was so kind and considerate that everyone loved her very much.
It was a nice warm afternoon. Mama Bear was trying to take a nap when someone knocked on her door. It was Cindy Rabbit.
"Hello, may I borrow some sugar?" Cindy asked.
"I don't have much sugar today," Mama Bear said, "But you may have all of it."
"Thank you," Cindy said and went away.
When Mama Bear closed her eyes, someone else knocked on her door. It was Robin Raccoon.
"Good afternoon.Mama Bear. May I borrow two eggs?" Robin asked.
"I don't have many eggs today," Mama Bear said, "But you may have two."
" I’m sorry to bother you." said Robin.
"It’s OK." said Mama Bear.
"Thank you." Robin said and went away.
"Oh, I'm so tired," said Mama Bear.
When she closed her eyes, someone else knocked on her door. It was David Turtle.
"May I borrow some flour, Mama Bear?" David asked.
"I don't have much flour today," Mama Bear said, "But you may have all of it."
"Thank you," David said and went away.
When Mama Bear closed her eyes again, someone else knocked on her door. It was Linda squirrel.
"May I borrow four apples?" Linda asked.
"I don't have many apples today," Mama Bear said, "But you may take four."
"Thank you," Linda said and went away.
"I hope no one will bother me again," said Mama Bear and went to sleep for four hours!
When she woke up, she heard a knocking at her door.
“I wonder who it is,” said Mama Bear. She opened the door.
"SURPRISE!" shouted Cindy Rabbit, Robin Raccoon, David Turtle and Linda Squirrel.
"Today is your birthday.We used your sugar, eggs, flours and apples to make a cake for you!" they said. "Happy Birthday!"
"I am so happy," said Mama Bear, "Come inside and we can have the delicious cake together."
"This is the happiest day of my life."

The Boy Who Called Wolf
A boy looked after his father’s animals in sun and in rain.
The boy said, “I keep my father’s animals from getting lost.I keep a wolf from coming around them, but it is always the same chore, day after day, sitting here looking after my father’s animals.For a laugh, I’ll play a joke.”
So he decided to play a joke on the people working near him.
“Help!” the boy called.“Here comes a wolf.”
Girls and women, men and boys all came running to help.They were so much worried about the boy.To the boy they all looked so funny.When thinking of so many people running toward him for just a lie, the boy began to laugh.“How foolish those people are,” the boy said to himself. No wolf was ever around.
That was so funny that he made a game of it.Day after day, he called, “Help!Help!Here comes a wolf!” to get people’s attention.He hated to sit there alone looking after the animals.It was so boring.
Then one day, the boy saw a wolf hiding not far from the animals.He tried to tell himself that it was no wolf.
But it was one! In a moment, he could not move.Then the wolf came to him.The appearance of the wolf made the boy turn and run!
“Help!” he called.“A wolf is here!”
But no one ran to help.
“That boy needs a new joke,” a woman said.
A man laughed.“He can not play a joke on us with the same old trick,” he said.
At last the boy ran to a house for help.But it did no good, for by now the wolf was taking all the animals.
