THE GELATO WORLD TOUR GERMAN CHALLENGE:
A COMPETITION BETWEEN THE BEST GELATO ARTISANS OF GERMANY
On March 31, the traveling gelato competition organized by Carpigiani and Sigep – Italian Exhibition Group will stop at Neu-Ulm in the quest to determine the finalists that will attend the Berlin Finals in Potsdamer Platz this July 7-9, 2017.
Neu-Ulm, March 27, 2017 – Germany is in the spotlight as the next stop of the first international traveling competition in search of the best flavors in the world. On March 31, the German Challenge will be held at special wholesaler Pfersich, the Carpigiani dealer of Germany, where 21 gelato artisans will compete. The Gelato World Tour is directed by Carpigiani Gelato University, the world’s most renowned school for successful gelato entrepreneurs, and Sigep – Italian Exhibition Group, the world’s premier artisan-gelato trade show. The Tour has the mission to spread the culture of gelato throughout the world.
If you are interested in participating, just contact the Carpigiani dealer and apply with your signature flavor. On the competition day, the chefs will prepare their gelato in the kitchen provided by the organizers; then, industry experts, local chefs, food journalists will judge the gelato. The top three flavors will go on to compete in the Berlin Finals, which will be held in Potsdamer Platz on July 7-9, 2017. During the Berlin finals, the chefs from all over Germany will compete for 3 spots in the Grand Finale of Gelato World Tour, scheduled for September 8 – 10, 2017 in Rimini, Italy.
