Main contacts:Internal – All Future Leaders staff,

External – Mainly those linked to our new Talented Leaders programme (Heads, mentor heads, schools) as well as Future Leader participants and heads, Leadership Development Advisers (LDAs), training providers, consultants and executive coaches, recruitment contacts and various partner organisations.

Major objectives: To support the set up and delivery of the Talented Leaders programme across the country.

Role requirements:Five days per week. Weekend work is occasionally a requirement of this job with time off in lieu as compensation. Regional travel will sometimes be required.

The Talented Leaders programme

  • To set up relevant personalised support for all Talented Leader heads to ensure their success. This will involve working closely with TLP heads, mentor heads and TLP schools.
  • To be a first point of contact for Talented Leader heads and mentors.
  • To undertake key elements of the matching and enrolment processes for the Talented Leaders programme.
  • To design and manage effective tracking processes to monitor the progress Talented Leaders heads are making.
  • To ensure the successful delivery of Talented Leaders termly cluster meetings (TLP heads will be expected to work in clusters alongside other schools in their area and have termly meetings).
  • To use our CRM database Salesforce to log and report school and stakeholder details.
  • To effectively collaborate with other TFLT departments involved with the Talented Leaders programme.

General

  • To carry out routine established administrative processes
  • Monthly reporting on progress
  • Tracking and evaluating personalised support provided
  • Keeping online groups up-to-date
  • Monitoring programme inboxes
  • Keeping stakeholder contact details up to date and accessible
  • To undertake financial administration processes and provide support to management with budget monitoring processes

  • To develop positive and supportive relationships with external and internal customers, and to provide them with excellent service within set timeframes
  • To learn actively from customer feedback, comments and suggestions, including complaints, to review and improve existing processes, and by doing so to anticipate other customer’s needs. To communicate this knowledge to relevant colleagues
  • To meet and exceed the team’s customer service standards
  • To understand situations from the customers’ perspective so that appropriate and relevant solutions can be identified

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • To apply the principles of CSR in your day-to-day role, particularly ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’
  • To reduce energy and water consumption by efficient use of these resources
  • To save paper wherever possible, e.g. by using both sides of a sheet, using internal envelopes and using electronic documents wherever possible
  • To reduce waste, e.g. by avoiding using disposable cups, crockery, cutlery, pens and other materials
  • To recycle where possible, e.g. paper, toner cartridges etc

Previous experience

Essential

  • Experience of maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

  • Experience of maintaining and improving detailed processes
  • Experience of taking an active part in a team, improving efficiency by sharing information and knowledge and supporting others as required

Desirable

  • Experience of influencing high level stakeholders
  • Previous experience of event management
  • Experience of using judgement to find solutions to problems for which no standard procedure exists
  • Experience of undertaking research as directed by a line manager
