-Problems

According to that actual discussion and information exchanges have been taken place.

  1. Connection SDMX, PX and opened link data

Although Lars Nordback once more shortly informed about SDMX, some participants have told that at the moment they havenotany information about using of SDMX by their countries as a whole and how SDMX approach could be interesting to them as well.Beside that some countries don’t collect some definitionsthat SDMX needs. In that case the proposed subject could be also like a subject matter for discussion among those people who is responsible for data production. By the way if the country is a member of European Union it would take some time to start to work with indicated software and they need some suggestions how to run it, how to make links between country data and Euro statistics, as well as information about some text attributes, mapping assistance and recommendations depends on using SQL database or px-files.Thus, in that case as soon as the necessary software would be ready for delivery it would be nice firstly to get such software and learn how to use it.

  1. Integration PC-Axis and PX-Edit

As a versionfor integration it was proposed to make module (mediator) or ODBC link.

It was also mentioned that it is a right way in the development of Windows tool for PC-Axis. However this wouldrequire setting upsome extra functionality. The existing PX-Edit software is just to view the table and to do less simple calculations. And besides that the existing PC-Axis main module has aggregation options. By the way it is quite evident that every new or additional development (feature) always needs much more resources. So it would be good to discuss all necessary requirements to such integration in Forum Group.

  1. PC-Axis files as input to SQL-databank

The proposed subject seemed to be not criticalfor those participants who have had their own input tools. Additionally itwaspointed out that its realization would be quite complicated. That’s because in practice the input px-file is hardly could be automatically compared with existing SQL-databank metadata or in the other words it is still not quite easy to followthe very strict process of such comparison. In order to implement such a possibility the ideawas put forward to make a core in metadata model.

  1. Prioritize Wish list

All wishes of the proposed Wish list were actively discussed.

For the matter of convenience as abbreviations forpriority wishesthe following letters were used:

L – for low priority

M– for medium priority

H – for high priority

Also, in addition some comments have been added if it was considered necessary by the participants.

Furthermore, it was found that the proposed Wish List still did not contain some participant wishes. So it was agreed that such participants have to supply their proposals to developers by e-mail.

The file with discussed and marked Wish list is attached.

  1. PC-Axis discussion Forum

There was the discussion onthe need of a forum moderator as well as on security issues.

Lena Gustaffson said that ReQtest system was successfully tested on its safety and that it fulfils all necessary requirements. She also promised to provide PC-Axis users witha special testcode and afterwardsit would be possible to be aware about existing problems of all other users.

It was agreed that Forum could be arranged by means of Google PC-Axis Group for all open data and by the use of ReQtest system for bugs and security issues.

  1. Problems

No any other problemswere mentioned.
