Minutes Teleconference Call, April 14, 2010

Attendees:

Action Items:

1.  Joe Kwak will make a presentation about 802.19.1 workshop on May 5th teleconference.

2  Liaison statement to 3GPP TSG-RAN (10/059r0)

2.1  Tuncer Baykas presented Liaison Statement

2.2  Hyunduk Kang: What is the basis of required information from 3GPP?

2.3  Tuncer Baykas: The basis of the information is PAR.

2.4  Hyunduk Kang: What do you mean by radio technology?

2.5  Tuncer Baykas: We are asking them coexistence techniques between different radio technologies.

2.6  Paivi Ruuska: For me current version is ok. If there are no other concerns we can keep it.

2.7  Ivan Reede: If we can get something outside 802 realm, it is good.

2.8  Stanislav Filin: I understand the concern for the term radio technology, but it is what we used in PAR and I belive we can reuse it.

2.9  Paivi Ruuska: What is the purpose of this document?

2.10  Tuncer Baykas: Our first purpose is to send our call for proposals to 3GPP and getting contributions from 3GPP.

2.11  Hyunduk Kang: Based on call for contributions we will receive contributions till November. But here it is written that we will receive them only May and July.

2.12  Paivi Ruuska: We need to write that we will start receiving contributions from May.

2.13  Tuncer Baykas: I agree.

2.14  Mark Austin: We can put the schedule of the meetings.

2.15  Tuncer Baykas: That is also possible.

3  Joint meeting 802.11 with 802.22

3.1  Tuncer Baykas and Mika Kasslin will make a contribution.

4  July Workshop

4.1  Joe Kwak: Workshop work is in individual basis.

4.2  Joe Kwak: Program will be discussed in May meeting.

4.3  Joe Kwak: During May 5th teleconference, I will make a presentation about the status.

5  Terminology

5.1  Tuncer Baykas: Yohannes Alemseged suggested to contuniue working on terminology.

5.2  Joe Kwak: No need to continue the work.

5.3  Paivi Ruuska: What is purpose to continue working terminology?

5.4  Tuncer Baykas: To help editors and contributors.

5.5  Joe Kwak: We don’t have a separate terminology currently.

5.6  Ivan Reede: The terminology can be worked offline.

5.7  Sun Chen: We had many terms, which are not included in the document. We may work on those in the future.

5.8  Tuncer Baykas: 802.19 contributors who worked on terminology may meet offline during May meeting. If they decide official work is necessary they can suggest it to the group.
