Master List of Venues* and Caterers For FFO Events
The following provides a list ofsuggestions for Venues and Caterers organized by Ottawa locations for Friendship Force Ottawa events and gatherings. Capacity is noted where available.
Where indicated “template available” please refer to the file “Venues and Caterers Templates” for additional information on the venue or caterer (for example: pros and cons, costs, directions etc.).
This file can be found on the FFO Web Site<Journey Resources<Toolbox<FFO Program Activities and Venues/Caterers Inbound Journeys. These templates have been prepared by FFO members who have used the venue/caterer and have provided an invaluable assessment to be used as a reference for your event.
Should you wish to add to the list of suggestions and create a template for a new venue or caterer, please complete a “blank template form” and email an electronic version to the VPJourneys or VP Communications and Support for eventual posting on the FFO web site.
In addition, should you feel that an existing template requires updating (i.e. new or additional information) you can do so by copying and editing the specific “template”. Please highlight your changes in yellowand indicate on the template the date you added more information. Please forward your revised completed “template” to the above-mentioned Board Members.
We are counting on all FFO members to keep this site up to date so that we can make our events a little easier to manage and an assessment of whether or not they should be used again is readily available.
*Note: Liability Insurance for Venues
FFI carries liability insurance covering all chartered clubs in the U.S. and Canada for special and Journey-related events. The following is the procedure to follow when needing to show proof of liability insurance when requested by a specific venue:
A “Request for Certificate of Liability Insurance Form”(also available on the FFI website) must be completedeach time an event venue requests we provide proof of liability insurance.
The completed form must then be submitted to FFI Allison Lindsey () as indicated on the form. She will return a document showing proof of liability coverage for the specific event venue as requested.
