Medical/RX Insurance / Date of Hire / BCBSMSimply Blue PPO Plan: $1,300 deductible for one person coverage; $2,600 deductible for two plus coverage OR BCBSMSimply Blue PPO Plan: $2,000 deductible for one person coverage; $4,000 deductible for two plus coverage. After deductible is met, insurance benefits are applied to help meet medical expenses.

Health Savings Account (HSA) / Date of Hire with enrollment in the College’s qualified high deductible health plan / A Health Savings Account (HSA) Plan funds flexible blue deductible: go to for information about contribution limits. Any unused portion of the deductible rolls over to the following year. The College contributes a portion of the deductible into the HSA in January and July. An HSA card is provided by Wells Fargo. Employees may also contribute additional funds to their account on a pre-tax basis.

Cash-in-lieu of Medical/RX / Date of Hire / Full-time employees who are eligible to elect medical and prescription insurance, but choose not to enroll are eligible for a cash-in-lieu of medical/rx.The employee must have medical/hospitalization coverage under another plan or policy. The College pays this out in two payments - February and August.
Dental Insurance / Date of Hire / Self-insured Dental Plan: $1,100 per person per calendar year. Basic services are covered at 80% of what is reasonable and customary.Major benefits are covered at 50% of what is reasonable and customary. Claims administered by Meritain Health. Life Insurance / Date of Hire / A life insurance benefit is available to regular employees who work 700 hours or more each year. Life insurance provides one times the employee’s basic annual earnings up to a maximum of $125,000.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) / Date of Hire / A long-term disability benefit is available to regular employees who work 700 hours or more each year. LTD provides a monthly benefit at 60 percent of the employee’s gross wages up to $4,000 in the event of total disability for up to two years. Benefits begin after a 90-calendar day waiting period.
