The following are five video clips on Appreciative Inquiry that are available for preview.
Fairmount Minerals – Creating Sustainability
Here is a video clip (10 minute clip) from the Fairmount Minerals and was part of Business as an Agent of World Benefit (BAWB) that actually shows the impact of the summit. In theAppreciative Inquiry Handbook in Chapter 8 there is the original AI Interview Guide on page 228 when the organization was called Fairmont North America. The organization’s name change came when the organization went global. This organization has been using AI for over a decade now. It also gets at the discussion as Jerry mentioned online as to how to bring about change for multiple stakeholders.
For those of you interested in BAWB – click around the website after the video clip.
United States Navy: The Inquiry: Leadership at all Levels
The story of the US Navy Leadership Summit is to create leaders at all levels. The design work for this AI Summit (oddly enough) occurred in Camp David on September 10-11, 2001. It was decided to carry forward with it because the US Navy was an organization that needed leadership at all levels. Please take time to skim the notes before watching the video clip (it is 20 minutes). Go to the AI Commons:

You can either click on “watch the streaming video” or “download the video” (it took a couple minutes). Make sure you have RealPlayer video set up so you can watch it on your computer. Annotation: This video is a wonderful overview of Appreciative Inquiry and the process organizations take to implement an AI change initiative. Listen carefully to the message from David Cooperider at the beginning of the video about what CEOs are looking for today. Three organizations (Cap Gem, Roadway, and Hunter Douglas) businesses are featured with interviewsfrom top leaders and participants.
