The following activities were conducted during the month of December
Administration & Academics
1. Students of Class XII & XI took 1st First pre-board Examination w.e.f. 5.12.2013 to 18.12.2013. Result of this examination was analysed & discussed with PGT’s of all subjects and on that basis a “Study Camp” is being conducted w.e.f. 24.12.2013 to 3.1.2014.
2. FA 3 was conducted from Classes III to X and after the analysis of the result the PTM was conducted on 21.12.2013 to discuss the performance of the students. More than 95% parents attended the PTM.
3. On 28th December the VMC meeting was conducted to discuss administrative, academic & financial issues. On 18th December VEC meeting was conducted to discuss the efforts to be made for the improvement of the Vidyalaya.
4. Principal had attended meeting with AC’s at K V Keshavpuram on 23.12.2013 for the improvement of the XII Class result and for conducting study camp.
5. Myself attended Principal’s Conference at Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Auditorium on 19th & 20th December’2013 alongwith the closing ceremony of Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
6. Myself took sessions on “Life Skills Education”. NCF and constructivism with primary teachers in In-service Courses at K V No. 1 Delhi Cantt and KV Shalimar Bagh on 26.12.2013 & 27.12.2013.
7. On 9.12.2013 attended meeting on improving the medical facilities at KV JNU Campus.
8. 6 teachers are attending In-service Courses at various venues in KVS Smt. Monika Bajaj PGT (Eco) is attending the Social Science In-service Course as Resource Person at Chandigarh.
9. Smt. M. Joshi (Vice-Principal) has been promoted to Principal and has joined KV Kasauni on 6.12.2013. Smt. N. Bhardwaj has joined as Vice Principal in Vidyalaya on 23.12.2013.
10. 12 students have attended five day INSPIRE programme at Kirorimal College and interacted with Scientists.
CCA & Achievements
1. KV Tagore Garden represented Delhi Region in Dance competition for the National level competition held at Gwalior w.e.f. 9.12.2013 to 11.12.2013 and it is a proud moment for the Vidyalaya and Region that the ISIS dance from Egypt was ranked first in foreign category.
2. The Vidyalaya had again got a cance to perform the Isis dance in Regional Incentive Award Ceremony alongwith Foundation Day Celebration on 17.12.2013 at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Auditorium. On the same day Mazira dance was also performed which was appreciated by one & all.
3. Our students have again got dance to give their performance (Manzira dance) on the closing ceremony of Golden Jubilee celebrations on 19.12.2013 where Hon’ble HRM Dr. M M Pallam Raju was the chief guest alongwith other dignitaries.
4. Smt. Seema Chandra, PRT has got “Regional Incentive Award” for her sincere contributions in the field of education and received award from Hon’ble Commissioner, KVS Sh. Avinash Dikshit on 17.12.2013.
5. Vidyalaya has conducted various activities during the Golden Jubilee year and it was ended with Golden Jubilee Foundation Day celebration on 18.12.2013 where a vibrant cultural programme was presented alongwith the distribution of awards & prizes to the winners.
6. On 1st December World AIDS Day was observed in which speech was delivered to make the students aware of HIV & its control & consequences.
7. On 10th December’2013 a talk was given to inform students about fundamental duties & the responsibilities in order to convey the significance of the celebration of Human Rights Day.
8. Information about National Energy Conservation Day was conveyed on 14.12.2013 and Christmas Day was celebrated on 23.12.2013 with great enthusiasm.
Sports
1. 2 students are attending SGFI Camp Tulika Maan in Judo and Jaspreet Kaur in Rope Skipping.
M&R Work
1. The internal white wash of Vidyalaya is complete.
2. The work by CPWD is also complete but the report could not be sent since the amount of dismantling work is not deposited by CPWD.
3. The Vidyalaya was visited by Officer from Fire department but the certificate is not issued so far. The regular correspondence is being made with the department.
