The
DeWitt E. & Vera M. Hooker
Fellowship
•This is a cash grant by the Board of Directors to a member of an FCIS school’s faculty, staff or administration. The actual amount of the grant will be determined by the Board.
•The purpose of the award, which honors FCIS founding Executive Secretary and his wife, is to encourage the development of projects which will benefit the Council’s member schools, in particular, and independent schools in general.
•For examples of past winners please go to School Resources.
•The intent of this award is to better serve FCIS member schools while enhancing your school’s program.
•Projects must have significance beyond an individual school to be accepted and must be shared with all Council schools.
•It is not required that the project be completed during the current school year, although if not, an estimate of its completion date should be given. A presentation of the winning project should be made at the 2011 Convention in Weston (Ft. Lauderdale Area).
• All winning projects must be submitted to the FCIS State Office in an electronic version after the Convention. The Council will distribute to the member schools.
•There is no limit on the number of applications that can be submitted from any one school.
•Do not submit additional materials with the application.
•Deadline for submitting applications is March 4, 2011 (postmarked). Please note that all applications must carry endorsement of the school head. Use the application form on the FCIS Web site.
•Mail the original application and four copies postmarked no later than March 4th to:
