The written comprehensive exams are held four times per year. Students must take their exams at one of the times listed below:
Block #1: Mid-late SeptemberBlock #3: Mid-late February
Block #2: Mid-late NovemberBlock #4: Mid-late April
N.B.Before registering for these exams, you must have an approved Ph.D. Plan of Study on file in the Registrar’s Office. You also need to have completed all coursework prior to beginning the comprehensive exam process.

Fields Offered for Comprehensive Exams:
Please refer to the reverse side of this form to determine the faculty member responsible for the Ph.D. comprehensive exams in each field. The coordinator is responsible for providing and correcting the written exam. In addition, the coordinator will serve as the examiner in the oral portion of the comprehensive exams unless an alternate has been designated and approved.
